I have over 7 years of experience within the live events & production industry covering a multitude of disciplines. I am currently freelance within the industry. My previous full time position involved taking oversight of events, from initial client contact through to project completion. This includes site visits, event design, curating quotations, client liaison, staff scheduling, transport & staff logistics, supplier coordination, event setup, event operation, and event de-rig.
A diverse range of skills are required and put to use when planning and delivering events. Below are a number of areas of which I have been responsible.
- Managing resources. Overseeing equipment leaving and returning to warehouses, ensuring gear is sent out in immaculate condition according to customers specific requirements. Scheduling hires and maintaining order within the rental system. Overseeing the maintenance and repair of equipment.
- Temporary technical installations. Delivering first class audio-visual systems which provide clients with the ideal user experience. Quoting & delivering technical solutions for a wide variety and scale of event setups. Producing results on schedule according to strict time restraints whilst maintaining an exceptional standard of work. This includes large format sound systems, lighting rigs, multichannel video mixing & distribution.
- Permanent audio-visual installations. Surveying the requirements of a venue for clients and producing quotes for fully integrated systems. Specifying system requirements & undertaking the installation of equipment.
- Warehouse oversight. Keeping the warehouse in a tidy, professional state which allows for a safe and efficient working environment. Suggesting and implementing changes where efficiency and organisation can be improved.
- Administration & client interaction. Quoting for events from customer’s specifications & vision, achieving results for clients which exceed expectations. Creating and sending invoices. Maintaining order of the cloud based rental systems, including booking out & checking in equipment, ensuring stock levels and details are up to date.
I am a skilled event operator and have been involved in a wide variety of productions within corporate, theatrical and festival work. I am a friendly, relatable character who has excellent client relation skills & a professional manner.
My qualifications include a First Class (Hons) BSc in Audio Production & a Di* BTEC Level 3 Diploma in Music Production, amongst others.
I have an approved certification in health and safety from the Institute of Occupational Safety and Health.
